So I don’t know if you know this about me, but I went through a vegetarian/almost vegan phase several years ago. Just one of the many experiments I’ve done with my diet to try to figure out what works for me. Obviously that didn’t…. Anyway, there was this recipe I used to make all the time because it was so easy and delicious and I can’t for the life of me find it. I’m sure it was from some vegan blog or something, but I’ve googled the heck out of it and searched all over Pinterest and it’s nowhere to be found. All I remember is that it had black beans, bell pepper and lime juice. Helpful, right?
Happy last day of the 21-Day Sugar Detox!!!! I don’t know about you but I’m feeling pretty good. No more sugar cravings over here! I mean, I wouldn’t turn down a ooey gooey cinnamon roll (grain free of course), but I’m not going to go seeking one out either. So I call that a win! Plus, after a week and a half of some serious bloating and digestive discomfort, I am finally feeling bloat free! For those of you who get my email newsletter you know just how bad that bloating was and so I’m sure you can understand my relief.
As promised, I am back today with another recipe for your real food Thanksgiving feast. I know this might sound weird but cranberry sauce is my absolute favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner. Well besides pumpkin pie obviously. But that’s dessert so it doesn’t count. At least in this case. I literally can’t take a bit of turkey unless it’s drowned in cranberry sauce. And my stuffing has to have cranberry sauce on it too. Unless it has dried cranberries in it. Then it’s usually fine without it.
I cannot believe that Halloween is on Friday! How the heck did that happen? My husband and I aren’t big Halloween fans. We never dress up or go to parties or decorate or anything like that. It’s just not our thing. But we do like to carve pumpkins. Neither my husband or I are very artistic so when my husband busted out a super awesome Olaf pumpkin the other day I was seriously impressed! Olaf as in the snowman from Frozen. I stuck with the Disney theme and made a Little Mermaid pumpkin, mostly because all the stencils I found for Belle looked WAY too hard.
