Cinnamon Cider Bomb with Homemade Maple Cinnamon Simple Syrup

  • For Cinnamon Maple Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • For cocktail:
  • 12 oz hard cider (I like this one and this one)
  • 2-4 oz bourbon
  • 1 Tbs Maple Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • Sliced apples to garnish (optional)
  1. For Maple Cinnamon Simple Syrup: Combine water and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 mins. Remove cinnamon sticks. Bring water back to a boil and add maple syrup. Simmer until starting to thicken and reduced to about 1 cup. Refrigerate.
  2. For cocktail:
  3. Split 12 oz can hard cider between two glasses and add 1-2 ounces bourbon to each glass. Add 1 Tbs Maple Cinnamon Simple Syrup and stir to combine. Garnish with apple slices and enjoy!
