I know I said this last week, but I LOVE Thanksgiving. And part of what I love about being a food blogger is that it gives me an excuse to make all sorts of holiday recipes all month to test for you guys. It’s pretty great. It’s a good thing I already nailed my pumpkin pie recipe last year. The last thing I need is a bunch of pies lying around the house. That’s just asking for trouble. Delicious trouble, but trouble nonetheless. Although I could always make apple pie…. What do you think? While I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween and all the Halloweeny festivities, I do enjoy a nice Halloween treat. And while I certainly won’t judge anyone for indulging in a little candy this Halloween, I plan on avoiding your typical M&M’s and Skittles in favor of this candy corn inspired treat. The color of this Candy Corn Pudding is inspired by candy corn, not the flavor. Which is cool with me since I hate candy corn, but I love pineapple and mango which is what this pudding actually tastes like. Continue reading
You’re probably looking at this and thinking “seriously, Kiersten? Don’t you know it’s August and about a million degrees outside?” Well yes, I realize it’s hot out. I do live in Texas. But I also realize that soup is one of the easiest meals to make, it’s all made in one pot (meaning less dishes to clean), and it’s the best way to sneak in some amazing nutrition in the form of homemade bone broth and leafy green veggies.
Man, I didn’t mean to disappear on you guys. I’ve just been spending some much needed time these past few weeks with family, friends and my awesome husband, as well as just taking some time for myself.
